Wii Love It!

Wii knew wii would but, it is better than wii thought it would be. The only problem wii have is wii don't have any additional games yet. Wii do have some missions teams coming and Todd's parents and brother are coming and could bring us a game or two. So maybe you could help us out. I know that there are a lot of you "blurkers" out there. That is, those of you who stop by and read the posts but never leave me a comment. I know, I'm a blurker too on some blogs and that's okay, but wii really need some advice here. If you would be so kind as to leave a comment about what Wii games your children like to play, or what Wii games you or your spouse like(s) to play for that matter, it would really help us. Any other advice like who has the best prices, games that are not worth the money, or if there are combo packs, etc., would be appreciated too. Also if you have had no contact with a Wii, you could tell me that too.

Todd was really excited to play the golf but Nathan begged to play the boxing. Since it was his present Todd consented to box with him. Before Todd got the hang of it, his comment was, "This doesn't do anything for me." By the look on his face it started to do something for him.

As I left in the comment section of my last post Nathan's grandmother, DeeDee, has beat us all. She has the high score of 201! Nathan usually wins all the other games but DeeDee is the best bowler. Nathan has made Miis for all of us. Even his blind grandaddy. We thought Grandaddy might be able to fish but the "bite" wasn't quite strong enough for him. He is content being one of the baseball players and enjoys Nathan letting him know when his Mii gets a homerun or catches a fly ball for an out.

They're Here!

We arrived at Sangster International Airport a few minutes before arrival time. Todd dropped Nathan and me off and he took the car to the car park. That's the parking lot here.

Nathan sat down and played his Nintendo DS while waiting for his DeeDee and Grandaddy to come out of customs.

We have sat around most of the day. Mama and Daddy brought four suitcases and most of it was stuff for us. I sent mama a list and she brought everything we asked for and everything she thought we needed or wanted. It is wonderful having them here. Nathan is off school Thursday and Friday for his mid-term break so I think Thursday we will go to the Ultimate Jerk Centre and Friday we will probably take him to the Yacht Club to swim.

Easter 2008

Nathan and I have had a wonderful week. It is hard to believe that time flies as fast as it does. It seems like we just got here. I finally took some pictures today using Mama's camera. We started out the morning at the mall. JCPenney was having a great sale. We took advantage of it. I was hesitant to take Nathan with us, but he was a good boy and didn't complain. Especially when he was trying on those Sketcher tennis shoes his DeeDee bought him.



When we finished at the mall we went to the Easter egg hunt that the church held. Nathan was a bit hesitant when we first arrived but, as always, it didn't take him long to find someone to hang around with.

After the Easter egg hunt, Uncle Howie took Nathan to see a movie and then he and DeeDee colored eggs. Uncle Howie said that DeeDee didn't read the directions. But, I think they turned out pretty.

Growing up in Paraguay, at times we felt a little isolated from our families back home in Florida. We so looked forward to the day we would get to go home even though our family members played tricks on us and would hide behind a pole when we came out of the jetway or some of them didn't even "know" us (April). So my brother, Howard, and I quickly learned how to mark days off on a calendar. We had a huge wall calendar that was probably 2'x3' and it showed all the months of the year at a glance. Mama and Daddy always tried to argue with us about the way we counted the days off. You see, we didn't count today (because it had already arrived) and we didn't count the awaited day either. So, according to them they always counted two extra days than we did.

This past month I have imparted the gift of "marking days off" on a calendar to Nathan. After all DeeDee and Granddaddy are coming. That is a day to anticipate! We found a calendar that was left here in our apartment and got busy. If you count like Mama and Daddy do there are two days left until they get here. But, the way we count there are no more days left because today is here and they arrive tomorrow.

You can tell from the above picture that Nathan had to show off his cursive writing a little. I guess I will compromise since I am grown-up and mature and say, "One more day!" All I know is, at DeeDee's house the garage has been mopped, the hedges have been trimmed, the house has been pressure washed, the lamps are on timers, the suitcases have been packed and re-packed, and I think the ceiling fans will be dusted today, and regardless of how anybody counts, DEE DEE AND GRANDDADDY WILL BE HERE TOMORROW, and we can hardly wait!!!!!
