...is what my Granny would always say. Unfortunately, I don't recall the whole story but from what I can remember this was a saying that my mother's family always used with each other on Chrismas Eve. My mother's mother, whom I affectionately called Granny, had nine children. How she did it, I will never know. But in her later years she would always call on Christmas Eve and when whichever one of her kids answered with "Hello." She would quickly say, "Christmas Eve gift on you." So, now with my mom and dad we have always had a "race" on Christmas Eve to see who can say it first. Well, I win this year, Mama, because I am saying it first here:
Todd and I are from Lithia, Florida. We have one son, Nathan, and he is 8 years old. Todd worked for a construction company for 27 years as a safety manager. I taught ninth grade physical science for 14 years and for the last eight years, I have been a stay at home wife/mom. We are missionary associates, and lived in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Our primary work there was with a small struggling church in Anchovy. Anchovy is located about 5 miles outside of Montego Bay and is a very poor community. This blog is an informal way of communicating with our friends and relatives the activities that occur during our daily lives.
